I still lol at how the Giro handed Porte a 3min penalty for having a rider from another team changing the wheel but a dude from another team like cataldo riding on the front for another rider ....

Because in this case you can always make the argument that Cataldo is pulling for his own chances of winning the stage. You couldn't make that argument with someone giving a wheel away.

It's funny how people applaud Cataldo for working with Nibali, while they attack any team for working with any Sky rider ever.

They're both italian. That's the reason. ;)

Dumoulin foils all plans

Quintana should have kept going alone, he had a very good gap. The guys left from the break didn't have anything left anymore.

While this is true it leaves a bad taste to watch when we all know that Cataldo was not using his energy for Astana there. Not a big fan of riders doing that. Nibali already has a team ...

Dumoulin will now *** in his pants for the final climb. Nobody will want to sit in his wheel. Causing an upset solo win

Dumoulin had to work a lot on this climb but this is going absolutely perfectly for him. He isn't only back in Quintanas and Nibalis group, both have no teammates left now so if they want to drop him today it will have to be mano a mano

Do you really not see the difference? I mean, besides the fact that one is against the rules and the other isn't...

Well, to be fair the "no mechanical assistance" rule is a clear bright-line that is easy to enforce. There would be too many difficult judgment calls in deciding when someone is riding just to help a rider from another team rather than to help himself or his teammates. But Cataldo's actions were still rather blatant.
