Doms set too slow a pace, we'll see what that took out of Dumoulin I guess

Indeed. Still 50km to go.

Honestly I could see that taking less out of Dumoulin than Quintana and Nibali. Both of them actually attacked, Dumoulin just set a solid pace and caught up because he's far better than the domestiques.

Dumoulin had to work a lot on this climb but this is going absolutely perfectly for him. He isn't only back in Quintanas and Nibalis group, both have no teammates left now so if they want to drop him today it will have to be mano a mano
I think both Nibali and Quintana have multiple teammates still with them.

i wonder how many times TD has that in him. it may not happen today, but as we saw in the vuelta 15 it adds up when you are always all alone fending for yourself.
makes for great racing. love the giro!!!

I still lol at how the Giro handed Porte a 3min penalty for having a rider from another team changing the wheel but a dude from another team like cataldo riding on the front for another rider ....

Do you really not see the difference? I mean, besides the fact that one is against the rules and the other isn't...

Ofc I see the difference and understand why you can only punish one. None the less having a rider from a different team hammering it on the front for the sole purpose of aiding the other team really annoys me. It's unfair on the other GC riders. Way more than having a guy change a wheel, that's why I bought it up.

The tempo set by Amador was so slow Cataldo was able to bridge. Tom might not have spent that much energy.

It's funny how people applaud Cataldo for working with Nibali, while they attack any team for working with any Sky rider ever.

Ofcourse it's not right, but thats what friends tend to do.

It's *** honestly. Ain't going to be cheering for people that do that. Essentially legal cheating because you can always argue he's riding for himself. When he isn't.
