Le Mevel dooms this group?

why? Saxo is hardly gonna chase it as they are losing guys out the back of the peloton already. Lampre have a guy in the break. Liquigas have a guy in the break. LeMevel is not gonna win overall. Lot of teams represented.

Sean Kelly disapoints me. Ignores Contadors Giro and Vuelta and says Lance will always be better than Contador because Lance won more Tours (ergo only race that matters).

Surprising from someone who won pretty much everything but the Tour (and Giro and Worlds).

Harmonn saves it. Makes the point.

Christophe Le Mevel (Garmin)
Daniel Moreno Fernandez (Katusha)
Marco Marzano (Lampre)
Valerio Agnoli (Liquigas)
Carlos Betancur (A&S)
Fabio Taborre (A&S)
Simone Stortoni (Colnago)
Ignatas Konovalovas (Movistar)
Tiago Machado (RadioShack)
Lars Petter Nordhaug (Sky)
Steven Kruijswijk (Rabobank)

So Le Mevel, Machado, Moreno are the climbers in that group - any others?

Nordhaug can climb a bit can't he?

Rather pathetic remarks from him really. I would expect that from Ligget and Sherwin but not from him.

It also sounded he (Contador) would´nt come close to Lances tally, totally ignoring the still young age of Contador.

Really bad there

And i am not sure Kelly catch Harmons remarks. Sounds like he has swallowed the Tour-myth.

Contador doesn't care if Le Mevel takes pink by a couple of minutes, as he's going to put minutes into him on Zoncolan alone.

My thoughts too. Probably a good move.

Love seeing those hill-top villages. Italy is so beautiful.

Kruijswijk is also part of the group, currenlty 16th in the GC and 18th in the GC last year.

In a group with Le Mevel, Machado, Kruijswijk? Hardly :D
Wasn't entirely serous but the hope is that Le Mevel and Kruijswijk use extra energy to improve their GC position instead of thinking so much about the stage itself.

Le Mevel maybe. Kruijswijk said before the Giro he isn't solely focussing on the GC and will try to go for a stage win where he can.

I agree.
Why base an evaluation just on the TDF? Kelly ignores Giro, Vuelta results, plus all the one week races that Contador regularly wins.
Add them all together and Martinelli has a good point.

ES showing Cali replay during Giro.

I hope they start showing Osterreich Rundfahrt replays during the TDF.

They aren't gaining more than 2 minutes.

Big chance they get caught in the final and one of the favoriites win. Scarponi probably
