Put a corner in after such descent and than you can do a straight finish as long as you like. But starting the last km at 70km/h and see al these riders swerving a bit. Not my ideal sprint straight.

Positioning in sprint stages where there are so many sprinters is huge. Those with trains will be heavily favored. Not that we didn't know this, but more so here.

How far out did Milan launch there? Huge sprint, yes Merlier was too far back but I don't think his position was more suboptimal than Milan's there.

Looked like he went to early but one by one other sprinters faltered. Tratnik did a good job pacing and bringing the peloton back.
