Lovely that Adam Hansen tells us that if the riders vote, they stick to their vote like they are the only valid shareholders and the previous meeting involving a CPA representative is to be ignored. Also, the CPA still cites freezing rain from the EWP to mean rain that‘s cold, whereas my online dictionary research tells me this is BS and that freezing rain has to freeze on the ground. Finally, he writes that changing clothes at two degrees poses a health risk. I don‘t understand what the risk to putting on warm clothes when it‘s cold, is.View: https://x.com/HansenAdam/status/1792795856766144857
Riders don't ride the Umbrail. It will probably be shortend or canceled.
If shortend the winner will be from the bunch. UAE could ride and I think Bora will ride for bonis.
Collectively, riders should not have a say.Riders having a say in anything in this sport requires riders being organized, and riders having no say whatsoever is just as bad an option as the current power imbalance.
Start the stage as normal. If no one shows up, no one finishes the race. It's over.
We can use the autobahn and then take the ferry to Trelleborg, on the first rest day, so we can skip Dane land. I think most would be pleased with that arrangement.I think starting in Italy, and finish anywhere in Scandinavia is... kinda bad.
Mid-stage teleportation is against the rules!
Wouldn't this make it near impossible for anyone to do the Giro/Tour double, though?I don't blame the riders.
I don't blame RCS.
I don't even blame Adam Hansen at this point.
I blame the UCI. Grant permission to move the race to late May / June as per the multiple requests. Protect the Giro!
That's the only logical solution under the EWP and contemporary safety requirements.

Giovanni Battaglin won the Vuelta and the Giro with just 3 days' rest between them. Different times, I know.Wouldn't this make it near impossible for anyone to do the Giro/Tour double, though?
Emirates are on stand-by.But this getting from Italy to Sweden mid stage!
Does your work involve a serious risk of death that is increased in bad weather?I vote that I don't have to show up for work but still get full pay and sympathy. I'm 100% in favour. Carried.
In the Emirates they can do an entire race with no descents too. All ______ or ______/, perfect. The riders will love it.Emirates are on stand-by.
We can do 1a and 1b.
Call their bluff, the Giro is over anyway, Pogacar won and there is no fight for podium, so not a lot will be missed

Swapping the Vuelta and Giro would be better. The weather in Spain is typically better in May and it's less of a high mountain race. The risks of extreme heat during the Vuelta are also minimized.I don't blame the riders.

Haven't we had enough of crashes, injured and sick riders?Everything RCS have done so far has been done like they to ought to by the EWP. They came to an agreement yesterday. It is not up to CPA to implement that agreement. By the rules of the sport, they have no formal veto. Their "vote" has no validity. They want everyone else to abide by the rules, when the rules are in their favour - yet the riders do not want to respect the rules when it doesn't suit them.
From the EWP on who has the power to decide: "If stakeholders cannot reach a consensus by the end of the meeting, the organiser, in agreement with the President of the Commissaires’ Panel, shall decide the actions to be taken."
CPA are saboteurs. Anti-cycling agents.
