They’ve taken back a minute on the break so it seems like they are pushing for more than that?

They were maybe just pushing hard because speed is good on gravel. And maybe to loose an opponent, if things go well. They're loosing time now again, so that might just be it.

Edit: nope gaining time. They are in attack distance for Pogacar on that last climb.
Edit 2: now it's more than a minute again. So let's see. :D
 
As a person never holding a professional racing license, it's always awesome to see how pros work really really hard together for the breakaway to work and wait until @3-400 meters to play games about who will win..Amateur racers play games the first 3-800 meters of the breakaway almost always ensuring it won't work!!! Nobody wants to work!!!
