Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if the wind got worse. Thomas should not lose 52 seconds in that section.

Hopefully every English-speaker is swept off the race inside a week. Hate every one of them. USA, UK and Australia should be forever banned from the sport. ;)

When Pog comes through we will know how the wind conditions are.

Would expect Pog to be about 10-20 behind at most.

EDIT: Thought he was further away from the split:

+44 for Pog
+52 for Thomas

guess they are losing 20-30 seconds each over that split or something due to wind.

Wind has definitely changed. I think Arensman/Schachmann/Sheffield might have had the best of the conditions, better even than Ganna.

T1-T2 section is less unfavorable, they've been losing about half of what they've been losing at T1.

Ordinary tt for Pogacar even relatively speaking, pre-covid the kid put 55 seconds into Thomas across a similar distance last year on stage 1

Honestly riding a big gear here doesn't seem great with the crosswind cause it's much harder to rebalance
I would have assumed that but even smaller riders look to be ripping pretty high cadence!! People are very strong!! That previous camera view of Pogacar he is really spinning it.. Ganna is probably a reason Shimano cranks break.. Guy is a beast
