On 13/10/2011, the prelude to Il lombardia called GranPiemonte will take place.

Phil Gilbert won it in 2009 and 2010, it would take a brave man to bet against him, imo.

If Pozzato continues racing like he did at Sabatini and Beghelli, he will be a serious contender. Let's hope he won't glue himself on Gilbert's back wheel again.

One thing i pray for is that i hope the hills in the last 50kms will be enough to eliminate sprinters. For the last two editions (since the route changed from sprinters' to a hilly classic) Giro del Piemonte became one of my favourite races and i would like it to remain after Thursday...

Actually there is. In Dutch the word "pipo" means clown. It all started with a tv-show. Link.

he is a talented rider who for various reasons but most psychological ones was/is having a hard time getting results. honestly i like him because i sort of identify myself with him a little bit, i am past that tho and i certainly hope he manages to do it too.

i am not a metro sexual but i do care about my appearance, mostly clothes as trying to fix my hair is pointless(it(the hair) chooses how it wants to be and not even my hair dresser can do much about it lol)

i don't grease myself tho nor do i suck wheels. i pushed my 2 friends the entire ride last saturday tho they did get dropped on the 3 toughest climbs of the ride.

i'm not sure some people dislike Pippo for caring about his look. People do like attacking riders (Gilbert, Vino) or suicidal attacking :) riders (De Gendt, Txurruka)... Pippo is different, he doesn't take his chances like an attacking rider does, he just waits for his perfect moment, and waiting for it he misses the opportunities quite often while winning in a different to attacking rider's way (sometimes preventing those attacking riders from victory) he becames a "wheelsucker" or a "clown" in someone's eyes.
I think his slogan "Only God can judge me" is quite fair.
