I don't rate Serpa or Rujano. Sella is going well but has come back from a doping suspension. Maybe I should of put him on the noted riders list.

On the other hand, because of others searching for form for the Giro, Serpa could have a better chance of winning than most of those.

Pozzovivo will crush everyone in the mountains and lose about six minutes in the ITT again.

Sella has been back quite a long time. He has turned into the rider he was back before he went ballistic once again, who's a highly talented but fragile climber who often went off the front only to be inevitably brought back. People said that if he could harness his instincts and race smarter he'd be a more successful rider. Instead he took things to the Clinic, got into the attacks only to disappear and never be seen again. Maybe now we have him doing that racing smarter.

Then again, he was constantly on the move in pointless doomed attacks in Portugal last year.

I think Androni's next post-suspension signing will be Francesco De Bonis. He's due back on 11 June, and was Davide Rebellin's protégé - Tintin took him over to Gerolsteiner and he went to Diquigiovanni with him too.

Most known for this farcical showing:

He was taken off the road by Gerolsteiner shortly afterwards for being too suspicious.

Gerolsteiner.

Actually, Pozzovivo defended his GC spot well in the CyL TT yesterday.

So hang on a second, you are admitting that you rate the following riders above the entire Androni team

If sastre does not show form here we should discount him for a giro podium

I'm guessing you were joking but just in case.....Sastre IMO hasn't shown grand tour form in 2 years. The best he can hope for is to pursue a stage win and hopefully he'll be able to swallow his over inflated self estimation of his current abilities and give Denis Menchov some support in the mountains or act as diversion by getting into some breaks.

wow the parcours look awesome

machado will win the ITT  and then lose some time on the mountains. if he doesn't it prolly means he reached his peak to early for the giro so . . .

At least now I know what Earth Tuscany is.
I assume Giro delle is the repeat show, else is it time yet for a few visits into the Giro archives?
They are bound to throw some in tasty memories in as we approach May.

He recently indicated he will most likely be a domestique for Menchov:

Yes, but this is the Giro, he could start off as a domestique then there's a freak tornado that picks up the first two thirds of the péloton and lets a group up the road, there could be mudslides that trap the heads of state group and let the second group on the road gain time, Menchov could catch on fire when a giant magnifying glass gets mistakenly attached to a helicopter.

I would say nobody will be stupid enough to let Sastre get in a break and gain minutes back, but it already happened.

Sastre didn't say anything about working for Menchov. He said Menchov will probably be in good condition, and that he's likely to be short on form by the start of the Giro. At no point does he say anything about being a domestique. I don't think that's the way Sastre rolls these days.

edit: ok, I read an extended version and he does say his plan is to help Menchov. I'll believe it when I see it.

Yup, sure do. The Milan-San Remo week had 3-4 hours each night, showing the 1999-2010 editions.
Best of all, when the Giro finishes, they repeat it all from Monday morning!
I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what anti pasti they come up with.:)

Haha

Should be a a good week. I'm excited to see the Giro contenders stretch their legs on these hills. I also like seeing Ben King's name on there; The young Americans have lived up to all the hype this year (which was none, to be sure), but I'm very ready to welcome a new generation of American riders.
