Harmonn totaly losing it.

Not only did he make up a stage which Ballan won (not realising Ballan hasnt ridden the Giro), he then started arguing that the AG2R rider on the front was Gadret, even as his partner pointed out that Gadret had been dropped.

When challenged on this he said that he thinks its Gadret because Gadret is a former French national tt champion:confused:

He meant this:

Gadret? Well yes, this is Harmon we are talking about.
At least he recognised Jose Rujano for what he is.

Did Ballan win the Giro stage Harmonn spent 5 minutes describing (that it was a famous Giro fog stage and BAllan solo breaked for a win)?

Because i thought Ballan had never ridden the Giro.
true. also he mistook gazvoda for gadret, which is pathetic since gadret is 1.70 and gazvoda 1.87 and worse his slovenian armpieces

Coldeportes much improved, oh yeah.
Were you expecting a different result in a TTT? Even if they are coming back in shape, there is no way in hell that they would have performed well in a TTT. Even in our glorious days of Lucho Herrera and Fabio Parra we always have sucked on the TTT.

Agree, besides a top performance in a TTT is not the reason why I think Coldeportes need to be part of a modern peloton. Instead, lets see if they can deliver something on the next couple of mountain stages when the telly is on.

You sure its kirby and not that grad student who did Tirreno?

If it is kirby, then at least hell learn what Fleche Wallone is, having previously confused it with Flanders.

I've already explained many times. they lack base training. simply because corit made the incredible mistake of going to north italy in januayr when there was half a meter of snow. they should've stayed in colombia like uran, henao, quintana, betancourt all did until the very end. look at how well they are riding now. is it that hard to see? they are colombians too and not better riders then the ones in coldeportes except maybe henao and quintana

the only rider coldeportes has at the level of uran, betancourt, henao and quintana is duarte.
suarez is not bad , but not at the same level. chavez and atapuma , especially the first can grow a lot but they have to improve a lot. jarlinson pantano and osorio are possibly good prospect.
uran and betancurt proved they can win at WT level. they are better riders then coldeportes' except duarte.
having said that, i agree that bring colombians in the garda lake area in one of the coldest winter was not a great training idea.

Great effort by BMC. Pinotti and Phinney were superb and the other riders are all solid. Great effort by Conalgo to place Pozzovio well and also Astana for Kreuziger.

Lampre would be a bit concerned with the TTT result looking to the Giro. You would use this race (especially the ttt) as a dress rehearsal for the Giro. Some teams who are poor TTT squads did quite badly.

Mathias Frank to anihilate the competition in tonight's stage. I can feel it!

and the climb before? I expect rujano to go berserk there and perhaps try and set up a stage win for one of his teammates up the final climb

Eurosport has only an hour of tv time planned for Trentino today from 13:00 to 14:15 CET, I don't expect the stage to be finished by then, right? Or did they plan it in such a way as to not overlap with Fleche-Wallone?

Rai's coverage:
13:00 Ciclismo: Giro del Trentino 2a tappa
14:30 Ciclismo: Freccia Vallona 2012

So, it's more or less exactly what's being covered. With luck, half the penultimate climb and the finishing hill should make it to screen.
