he lost 0 seconds in the 3rd stage and 18 seconds in the 8th stage

Now we go to split hairs. So lets do it:

He lost 21 to LeMevel in stage 3 as he was a direct contender for a Top-10-Spot. He lost 23 to AC in stage 8.

Anyway, you won since that´s only seconds, not minutes, even tough the other contenders didn´t loose more than 5 to AC (in stage 8).

2 years ago the podium was Vino Basso Ricco. Vino went on to win Liege, and Basso the Giro.

Now the main Giro contenders seem to be a bit down and only Rujano and Kreuziger are showing form.

Basso was 28th. Almost 5 minutes down.

It sounds funny for a rider of his quality but it is some sign of improvment.

We will see tomorrow if his able to do some work in the front of the group to help Szmyd in his GC fight.

rujano, scarponi, nibali, basso, quintana, henao, uran, gadret, pozzovivo, purito, nieve, niemiec, szmyd, dupont are all riders that could very well end in front of him. depending a bit on how the race is done. he can do top ten of course but even top 5 is out of the question

the ressemblance is astonishing

on the few shots they were taking,he finally looked in decent shape,not all over the place.hell he did better than killer and scarponi

gotta say rujanito impressed me because i'm certain he can do a lot more and now he's just at 85-90% of his best form.plus i still think these unbelievable steep ramps don't suit him the best.give him the stelvio and he will fly.

scarponi..did anyone notice he looks thinner than ever?he will be scary strong in il giro,now he even learned the art of peaking.last year he was going ballistic everywhere in the spring
