Like last year when you called him a better climber than Contador?

Think not. As usual means zoals gewoonlijk by the way, I think you meant something else.

After all the work by Liqui i was expecting an attack by Szmyd 3 or 4 km from the finish; anyway glad to see Basso on the front again, and with the posssibility of being in top shape in third week of the giro.

I am not disappointed at all by the non-invitation to Coldeportes to the Giro, because they need to show more. But I don't understand the non-invitation of ACQUA & SAPONE. They had a chance of doing a good showing.

Especially because Garzelli is the defending King of the Mountains.

I thought Szmyd (& Liquigas in supporting him) rode well today, just nothing he could have done about the three that got away, no disgrace in that.

NetApp have had a better season than A&S.

Apparently, it's not always about the performance. Therefore, we have to bear instead with team NetApp, adding to mediocre WT teams like fdj and lotto.

So much for Kreuziger's chances for Giro podium. Although there's some time left, I think there always will be at least 5 riders better then him in the race.

Don’t think so. He went to race just after hard high-altitude camp. He will be at top after Romandie - definitely for the top 3 this Giro.

yesterdays clibm was what? 1000 metres? that's not a col
So 10km at 10.4% is considered too easy to be categorised as a climb in Colombia. Altitude isn't the only thing that matters.

No, silly.
It's the nationality of the winner that determines whether it's a true climb or not.;)
Pordoi is the first 2000+ metre col, sure, but in terms of difficulty, it comes a poor 3rd of the year, to date.

It's only a mountain when a Colombian wins.

Or Venezuelan.

of course it's a climb. but not a col. in the tour 1000 metres is 2nd category and in giro as well

Come on, altitude is only one factor when categorizing climbs. Length and gradient trump altitude. 10km at 10.4% would be 1st category or HC in any race even if the climb started underwater and it only raised 200 m above sea level.

I don't know why you have to make such silly statements today.
