I think there generally is a stick shortage worldwide ! Too many in use.

Maybe Ferrari can get over the hill and take the win on stage 1.

Alternately Sir Wiggo could tell his team mates to go berserk on the bump and drop half the GC contenders.

If Cataldo has his Tirreno form he could even be a favorite for this race. And Dombro will have to show something sooner than later.

It's nowhere near their best lineup, but still pretty good for a race like this.

Naaah.. dombro is still young. this is just his inaugural ride, he is not expected to turn himself into superborgman. I think they want to see how Siutsou is doing. We haven't heard about him for long time.

Weakest of the 3 Sky leaders, Sky's second string mountain domestiques, and Cataldo playing the Kiryieminator role... I guess Sky isn't taking this seriously.

that's not true. It's a giro dress rehearsal for Sky giro squad team

excerpt from wiggin interview with CN

Wiggins has spent the last two weeks training in Mallorca, apparently opting to mix some precious family time with his riding. He said his form is good but the Giro del Trentino will also be about testing the strength of the Giro d'Italia squad.

"The training has gone really well in the last few weeks and all the stuff we've been doing, suggests that evidently, I'm ahead of where I was last year before the Tour de France," Wiggins said.

"I'm excited about what's to come at the Giro and here. It's more about the team we have here and putting in a strong display. Most of these guys are riding the Giro. This race is a mini dress rehearsal for the team time trial and the way we ride together. And the confidence we get from that."

great route as always and now some fresh climbs too
this will be perfect for rujanito, probably ulissi or wiggins for the overall

one can dream that di luca will race this...

all the complains about route its just fine, some good climbs, without wanting kill riders their is a giro around the corner. team time trial probably could been replaced by something for sprinters but nevermind always enjoy the mtf's here and fridays look good.

Trentino organizers just tweeted that it will be live on both Rai and eurosport:)

As far as i know it's only highlights tommorow morning on British Eurosport for today's 1A and 1B stages and the rest of the stages are live unless something has changed since last night.

Weird. There's no (cycling) competition today, tomorrow's there Fleche Wallone. Even if it's not the most spectacular stages (although TTTs are usually interesting), if ES has the rights, why not show it?

Probably something else going on in other sports, more important ?

Nothing that's live and that should really take precedent over live cycling just some triathlon, rallycross, speedway and tennis (not live tennis btw) but if it's also not live on RAI or anywhere else it must be out of ES control.

There's snooker apparently, but I don't know if that's live or recorded.

But yeah, Eurosport is just buying the pictures, they depend on the domestic broadcast.

It's fairly long for a half stage. The main teams will be trying to avoid the front, I guess Sky blinks first?

Vini Fantini and Androni are at the front at the moment. For Taborre/Gatto and Felline I guess

A strong group of Nibali, Evans and Pozzivivo- and others to come to the finish line- beating Wiggo and Basso by 8 or so seconds.

Pretty ballsy of the big teams to let the gap go out like that, they must be quite confident in their leaders...
