Neither he or Valverde went to Australia and I think that made the difference in this race against a more tired Pogacar.

Mas did what he had to do. Calibrated Pogacar in the next to last climb and saw he was stronger. Then departed earlier which was the obvious move. Nice win for him and Movistar.

The old youngsters showing the new youngsters how the bikes should be ridden. Pozzo, Valverde, Uran. Gosh, we'll miss these guys when they are retire.

Pozzovivo is not done yet with cycling. Pog and Mas descending combo is not quite good, can't wait for Civiglio descent. Mas a level above uphill. Lots of biggish names nowhere to be seen.

Mas is such a great rider when hes on his best days, it looks for easy for him on those days. One of the Lombardia favorites for sure, and with Valverde to back him up, they can prove quite scary once again for Pogi!
