Nah, he looks really limited when it gets to tough, multi mountain stages.
He needs that 3-5kg of lean muscle mass first. He's been around long enough now to see, that he's not one of those skinny mosquitos, that ride at the pointy end of longer stage races in various conditions. He's not one of those 64-68kg riders that are ruling there. Too skinny these days.

Pog will lose badly in Lombardia. It's simple pattern matching: in the past editions he had been struggling and sandbagging in the few build-up races, while this season he's doing the opposite.

You heard it here first (I guess).
So the others are just taking a more measured approach? Interesting.

Pogačar continues to amaze with his absolutely superb solo victory at today's Giro dell'Emilia. With the Giro di Lombardia yet to come, this should go down as the single greatest season by a rider in the entire history of cycling.
