Anyone able to translate the convo in the Androni bus showing on Gazzetta now?

some hilarious part is when savio asks what do we do then in the beginning, savio pauses... and serpa says "esfuerzo de cabeza" ride with the head (to attack in lead group) and savio goes : "bravo leon!" LOL

you got to love savio. he's truly one of a kind. like a teacher :D when I teach I also like to make the kids answer and compliment them when they do and if they say wrong I steer them in right direction ;)

also funny how savio calls him leon, lion, which is is nickname :D

Anton showed what a class character he is when after the Vuelta fall, instead of showing anger or shouting or crying or throwing his bike, he accepted his fate immediately, walked to the car, smiled to the camera and waved,

It's good in some respects. It's also a reasonable explanation of why he has so significantly under-performed his ability so far in his career.

Why are Euskaltel helping in the chase? Trying to win the stage with Antón? Perhaps protecting his place in the GC even if they said that isn't their objective? Anyways, I'd have loved Saxo Bank to expend their helpers today.

I reckon there'll be a sorting out in the break on this climb coming up. Doubt they'll get away, Euskatel riding for the win.

I understand where your going with this, but I feel it shows maturity and a pensive ideology after a grave situation rather than the lack of a killer instinct.

They don't have a man in the breakaway. So it might be a mixture of wanting a stage for Anton and punishment for the riders.

Maybe Euskaltel's DS is just ****ed at his riders for not having gotten anyone into the break. ;)

Does anyone know how they calculate the time gaps? Is it based on the relative speeds of the front and chasing groups, and how long it would take for the latter to catch up at their current speeds? Or is it more simply based on the difference in time as they pass different markers on the course?

Valls Ferri

Interesting to see how Valls Ferri does on the climb. He was a nice surprise in the mountains in last years Tour.

The fact that he cares could be seen a few stages earlier in Andorra where he started flapping his arms around uncontrolobly in celebration.

Difference in time. Not only simplier, but also because measuring the gap according to the relative speeds would be misleading, as the speeds fluctuate a lot.
