Tualis is skip to bypass a demonstration. People who worked to improve the Crostis road in the past days is very, very upset.

Good for the protesters. I hope Zomegnan is leading the protest to block the ascent of the Tualis.

I guess the 3 leaders will have a chance of staying out in front now that the Tualis has been removed... So if one or more of them do manage to hold on until the finish and win the stage, which of the three do you guys think is most likely to do it? (i.e. - who is the best climber of those 3)

I'm not sure as I haven't watched close enough to see who looks strong. Probably go Brambilla though.

But they would need 12-15minutes.

The protesters should have disguised as fans and block the road only to the team cars.

In an alternate universe Rujano and Contador already have 3 minutes on Anton and Scarponi who are a further 50 seconds on Nibali who is waiting for the descent and Menchov who is not. The breakaway is spilled all over the climb with the leading rider being the first to get onto the mud at the top of the climb.

Meanwhile in our universe

boring.

Ok, can anyone explain to me why on earth Liquigas is setting the pace up front? I understand that because of the cancellation of the Tualis it's more likely that the leaders would stay away, but what does Nibali have to gain from catching up to them, is he hoping to finish 3rd instead of 6th?

Maybe they are trying to put AC under pressure instead of waiting for the processional.

Better than doing "nothing".

Perhaps Alberto might have a bad day. Who knows. You never know.
Better try and see what happens then.
