Contador, Konovalovas, Porte, Millar and Clement in my view. Lang i think has done some hard work during the race.

Btw where does that the idea come from that Sivtsov can even remotely be a threat to Kruijswijk in the time trial??

I've looked up his ITT results on CQ ranking. Sivtsov isn't anywhere near Kruijswijks level in itt's. Only in mountain/very hilly itt's Sivtsov came close to top 20 a few times. Other times he finishes 30-40th.

Romandie:

7. [NED] KRUIJSWIJK Steven RAB 43"
30. [BLR] SIUTSOU Kanstantsin THR 01'23" 0

And that was 20km

Other flat time trials from sivtsov?
32th in penafiel (vuelta 2010)
23th in paurillac - helped by less harsch wind then top riders (tdf 2010)
119th iin prologue rotterdam (12km) (tdf 2010)

And otherwise I see some top 40's... that's IT.
While Kruijswijk has been pretty much an good itt-er throughout his young career. Finishing 12th at world U23 tt, 22th in the final Giro ITT last year, and recently 7th in Romandie far ahead of Sivtsov

It's not gonna even be a match up.
Nieve is going to fall away through, thats Sivtsov's hope

Kruijswijk thoroughly deserves his 9th spot.
I think he'll hold on, he is pretty good in itt. And his recovery in this last week has been superb.

Didn't you watch the stage yesterday? Contador took it reeeeeeaaaaal easy. Then he was blowing kisses at the finish line.:D He will take it easy again, he won't win it, probably a finish around the 8th-10th places area.

My stage predictions 1st=Porte
2nd=Millar
3rd=Meyer
And Contador on orders from Riis will ride easy and finish 5th to 10th...

i predict a good performance for machado. a top 10 maybe a top 5 on the stage

a little under 30k is right where his limit is for a good time trial, from what i heard after 30k he starts to fail

Menchov will jump Kreuziger, Purito & Rujano to move from 8th to 5th on the GC.

The reason he was taking it so easy was he was saving his legs for today.

That and being such a skillful time trialist, there is no way that Contador will not race to win.

Why? I seriously see no point why he should go all out. He gifted away a couple of stages plus a mountain jersey already, why be serious now?

just hoping that Scarponi holds Nibali off for second.

Pretty sure he has enough time in hand, but definitely dont want Nibali winning and getting 20 bonus seconds .... could make things difficult

Because he's Alberto Contador

I see him playing it fairly safe, and finishing about 8th.

The fight for second is going to be interesting, but I think Scarponi will hold on.

Menchov may indeed try for everything, but I don't know if he's got enough in the tank to take the stage and leap frog that many guys.

The split time of the awful time trialist that is Kosta Sivtsov in last Tuesday's time trial is quite interesting though:

1 NIBALI Vincenzo ITA LIQ 7:44 0:00
2 CLEMENT Stef NED RAB 7:45 0:01
3 SIVTSOV Kanstantsin BLR THR 7:46 0:02

(Rodriguez was 4th, but I think he rode on a TT bike?)

Well, it does mean something. Truly awful time trialists like Gadret were way back by that point (the only surprise in front is, again, Rodriguez).

That's nice for Sivtsov: Dupont is crap in TTs, and starts just one minute ahead.
