Why would Movistar ride with Visconti leading the stage?

And Basso is going to ride both Giro and Tour, while just saving himself and looking pathetic in his home country.

Astana is not dropping anybody important and people keep saying they are so strong.They look like this because other teams sucked hard in this Giro,especially Tinkoff and Sky.

Maybe today. if they ride too hard, Aru will be dispatched. Still though, they have been with numerical strength in most of the mountain stage. sky w/ kiryenka, nieve, konig, sitsou, on paper they shouldn't be this worse than astana. But the fact they did.

Well it was Quintana and Evans also got a couple seconds on the descent. Yet they were 4 SKY riders in a 9 rider group.

That's actually not unthinkable. He can't be this terrible without a purpose, since he showed great strength in the Ardennes.
