Hugo Koblet said:So basically Astana traded a certain Landa stage win and the KOM and a shot at the overall victory for like a 30% chance that Aru will win the stage. Makes sense.
lolMoose McKnuckles said:Landa needs to take a massive crap in the Astana bus, shut the windows, then leave with another team.

Lol what kind of logic is this? Everyone leaves at some point.whittashau said:I'm shocked at the stupidity of people in this thread. Why would Astana ride for Landa if he is leaving?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ quoted for truth. I think I *actually* feel bad for Landa now. Landa complaining about Contador trying to create fighting between him and Aru, well I think Astana did a fine job of that. Good lord that was hilarious!Hugo Koblet said:So basically Astana traded a certain Landa stage win and the KOM and a shot at the overall victory for like a 30% chance that Aru will win the stage. Italian angle - Astana wanted an Italian in Giro di Italy to get monetization in our home market.Hugo Koblet said:So basically Astana traded a certain Landa stage win and the KOM and a shot at the overall victory for like a 30% chance that Aru will win the stage. Makes sense.

Either he had a bit of a hunger knock or he rode very conservatively to save energy. Either way he was in no real danger of losing the Giro.
lol, got dropped by a group to ride alone and save energy....... the comedy by Contador's fanatics never stops
I'm about as far away as a person can get from being a Contador fanatic buddy. It's all this "OMG Contador failz" crap that's ridiculous. Not for a minute was he in danger of losing the Giro today and anyone who thinks otherwise seriously doesn't have a clue.
Well, he did fail today. he is clearly not the strongest climber in this Giro and if Landa wasn't held back this could have been different result since everytime he was allowed to go (Angrilu, Finestre) he completely cracked Contador. This is worse than TdF 2013 win. GT won because of TT, without winning a single stage, the only difference being that strongest climber was held up by other team, which adds to ridiculousness of the entire situation

To win the Giro?

Right, why let the guy who is CURRENTLY on your team try to win the Giro, or at least another stage and the blue jersey. I'm shocked at the stupidity of people in this thread.whittashau said:I'm shocked at the stupidity of people in this thread. Why would Astana ride for Landa if he is leaving?
