I doubt they care. In top form Contador vs. Froome vs. Quintana is a fair fight, with even an easy Giro in his legs Contador has no chance.

I can't imagine Froome is worried about Contador. He's crushed him before in July, and now that he has his own motor home, I think the result is a far gone conclusion.

You must be always worried with Contador, but I think he is more worried with Quintana with this little ITT, and with Nibali, with that small Roubaix on the route.

Tinkoff wants the gap to be just right for the rest of the race regarding the GC. Not too big, demanding commitment to Kreuziger, and not too small leaving the rivals not worried about Kreuziger.
That's 3-4 minutes, I'd say.

Agreed. Nibali and Quintana are much bigger threats to Froome than Contador with a Giro in his legs.

I guess Tinkoff Saxo is completely schizophrenic. Their DS just said they are here to win the Giro with Alberto. I guess they are chasing a rider they put in the break. I guess they only see themselves as competition for the overall victory

SAXO IS CONTADOR TEAM, NOT SAXO TEAM , HE DONT WANT TOO NAMES TO WIN...if just Ettix works today Kreuziger get 5 minutes.

Anyway today is going to be a stage for GC people and climbers, maybe people as gerrans will have some options, but no more.

Stop whining, Tinkoff stopped working atleast 20 minutes ago, been Etixx since then and the break is going crazy. Even then the gap is going out, over 9 minutes now.
