Thats kind of the point. Astana has riders at the front in monster shape. Why not see what happen and save energy for tommorow? Surely now Sky and Rogers would have to chase.. and if not and the group wins by 4 minutes.....
they still hold all the cards with so many good climbers in great shape and with TInkoff being so weak

Where does the opinion that Aru is particularly fast among gc contenders come from? He is definately slower than Uran. In Catalunya he was beaten by Contador in a sprint.

They will not catch the group before the final climb. If they will cath them, it will be in the last km's.

Fuglsang will probably help Nibali during the Tour. Last year he did so well on the cobbles.

I think Uran will beat Aru easily when it comes to sprint. Formolo FTW anyway

So, I'll bang on this drum one last time (and I'm not being hyperbolic): what a terrible, atrocious, god-awful Ettix-Quickstep team for Uran. Sky, Tinkoff and Astana all have riders up the road and all of them but Tinkoff have multiple riders within the select group. Again, all of them but Sky gained time on EQS in the TTT. Meanwhile Uran is all alone and we're not even into the real mountains. Absolutely brutal. Forget winning, if Uran podiums it would be a monumental achievement.

No idea. And I agree. Uran is a way better sprinter than Aru. Contador is a lousy sprinter though. Probably just the usual Aru hype
