Nibbles said he likes the parcours a lot and it's been too long since the last time he rode the Giro, so he should be there.
He loves stage 14.

Somebody got a clue for what Alejandro said? I dream silently of him finally trying out the Giro...

He is afraid of the bad weather

I thought regarding if he even considered to race it?

He is way too diplomatic to state something relevant already at this moment.

From my memory Valverde plans to ride the Giro since 2014. That year Quintana aimed for pink glory and this year the Tour route suited Valverde perfectly. I expect him to be in Italy next year if he was at the presentation.

Individually all the stages are fine, apart from 19 and 20. The order is just a bit skew-wiff.
Yes, but better than expected.
It looks better than the 2014 route, a few very nice hilly stages.

Too short, it's less than an half of the climb, the hardest part, climbers friendly...

Ok, that's tremendous. He has to survive a couple of days (14 and 20), but I feel the rest almost is perfect for Valverde. He could have a tremendous Giro would be show up at 100%!

A bad stage for Valverde? I didn't knew that existed.
Anything with a combination of wind, rain and cold, regardless of distance and climbing.

Don't think he will participate in the Giro. Valverde: ''I do not know if i will be at the depart, it's tempting but with the Olympic roadrace it's going to be very important to be at the Tour.''

Awful route for Landa. Not enough high mountains. I wonder if Sky will consider sending Thomas to the Giro.

It's almost as if the organisers sat down with Nibali and planned the route together.

The last couple of stages are still good for Landa. And he is not afraid to attack on the climbs. Even if they are far away from the finish. But he needs to improve his skills against the clock.

But yeah, the downhill finishes and the hilly TT is almost tailor-made for Nibali.

...Pramartino?
Besides that and Agnello I think all "major" climbs in this Giro aren't very steep...

I think Landa has proved that he is not afraid to attack from far out and doesn't need high mountains. The Giro 2015 was not more brutal than the upcoming in 2016. And he was a beast in the last medium mountain stage in the Vuelta where he won with Aru.

One brutal attack on Passo Giau (stage 14) and he could gain minutes.

Big 4 of the Giro next year: Landa, Dumoulin, Nibali and.. Uran?

I don't really know about Uran. Not sure he has what it takes to win a GT. But it must be him.

Giau is not exactly flat...
This. Stage 14 with Passo Giau will be the key stage for Landa.
Yeah this was meant for bp12 who said all the major climbs weren't steep.

I think Nibali is equal to Landa on these climbs (see Giro 2010 where on Motorola). I think Nibs should win this, there are no murito stages. Tbh landa isn't great on those either.

Let's not forget Richie Porte.

Lol. He is not riding it. He wants to try something new after two failed attempts. One of the reason why he signed BMC was to be able to lead or co-lead the Tour De France.

Tejay, on the other hand, could ride the Giro.

Porte's gonna be co leader for the Tour along with TJ.

Really for all the hype Landa has gotten, he shouldn't be able to drop a top notch Nibali. Nibali will have the stronger team, and he will have the advantage of his descending abilities should Landa go from far out.

It's still very early ofcourse

I like it a LOT :)

*Proper amount of TTing
*Lots of Medium Mountain stages

Highlights:
Stage 3- a nice setup for stage hunters
Stage 4 - nice hilly stage
Stage 5 - nice soft MTF
Stage 8 - The first real MTF
Stage 9- nice and tricky stage hunters setup
Stage 12- lengthy one with some interesting bumps and a steep finish
Stage 14 Individual TT with a decent length (59.2 k)
Stage 15 MTF to get back time lost in the ITT
Stage 16 - Mortirolo- Aprica combo made even tougher with the two previous mountains
Stage 18 - A medium Mountain stage to create surprises
Stage 19 - A KILLER 236 K long Stage w/ MTF
Stage 20 - 196 K long stage with the Finestre-Sestriere combo

:)
