Chapeau Pinot!

Dumoulin got this Giro.

Most likely, but who's going to be 2 and 3?

I'm thinking based on current form it will be:
1. Dumoulin
2. Pinot
3. Nibali
4. Quintana
5. Zakarin

I would put:

1. Dumoulin
2. Pinot
3. Nibali
4. Zakarin
5. Quintana

Quintana needs to lose less than 2 seconds/km to Dumoulin.

Not gonna happen.

quintana should worry about podium, not pink lol

Honestly it seems Quintana needs to worry about Zakarin more than anything. I don't see him finishing in front of any of the other 3 right now with his current form.

You could be right on that. I just felt with the gap being well over a minute he might hold off Zakarin, but it's far from a guarantee.

Stupid, they couldve gained 40 secs at least had they pulled together until the end. These 25 secs could make the difference tomorrow.

Quintana had nothing left in that final sprint. Really not expecting much from him tomorrow.

That's because he did most of the pacing for the last 1.5km...

Always reading the race analysis of this forum is like watching...I actually don't have a simile or metaphor for it.

But imagine something really bad.

Maglia Rosa...did the final pull to make sure the time gap stayed high.

He was always going to finish last in the sprint with the jersey on his shoulders. That doesn't mean he emptied the tank and everyone else didn't.

Organisers very kind to Dumo and Nairo. There was a gap there for both

If you're going to count that gap, you should also count the gap from Jungels to the rest of the 2nd group.

Dumoulin owes Mollema and Jungels big time after burying themselves for him.

Good guy Mollema even checked over his shoulder at the end to neutralise any small time gap in that group when they went over the line. :)

Anyone knows where the worlds best climber Landa was who could've easily won without losing time in first week?
Oh, come on. You mean the guy who's been in a ton of breaks, including going solo yesterday? No way to know where he'd be in the GC mix if not for the crash but that's just a ridiculous comment.

Stupid from Zakarin. He and the team gained absolutely nothing in the end. No win, no bonus seconds, no gaps on those immediately in front of him, and now he needs the TT of his life and some luck.

He had to try. He did. Can't fault him.

On his best form Quintana is the worst time trialist and the best climber out of the top 5. The fact that he was the 4th best climber today does not bode well for hist time trial at all.

Pozzovivo's "sprint" meant he was in front of Quintana, which saved Quintana a couple of seconds.

If Reichenbach had stayed behind Dumoulin, rather than filling a gap, he would have earned the others a couple of seconds.
