You guys really think Dumoulin would not ride if he was strong? He’s cooked like the rest and realize they all need to work together.

He was very passive and that will not inspire the others to ride along. As a primary contender, you *have* to show your good intention, and *then* the others may work along.

Plus, why do you let Oomen work the climb before that? Very stupid riding by Sunweb and Dumoulin.

I think it's a problem with being such a one-trick pony. If everyone knows you will exclusively ride to tempo on the climbs and destroy everyone in the TTs, they can exploit that pretty easily with some cooperation between them. The element of surprise from last year has well and truly gone.

Yeah it's a problem when you're that kind of rider and you don't have a train. Sunweb is more of a steam train than a sky train.

Indeed, Pinot and Pozz should be trying to bury Dumoulin here for the podium fight.

It's like Quintana and Nibali last year trying to co-operate a bit, but while being massively suspicious of each others motives.
