Sagan's only chances are stages 16 and 19. Stage 19 would be hard because Demare could beat him again.

Almeida could win this. DQS might ride
It was a great ride by them, they’re really showing themselves to be as strong as any team in the race. To have 4 men in that group is really impressive. Almeida might be taking a little on himself a couple times, so we’ll see about that tomorrow.

He's after The Amazing Race To Most Top 10 Without A Win.
Six so far this giro and he was doing pretty well beforehand.
Hope he bows out of that completion with the maglia rosa.
That would be some very rude and indignant behaviour towards "The Amazing Race To Most Top 10 Without A Win" mythical competition.

It's a good point but with bonus seconds on the line, perhaps it's a little tricky to balance the "save yourself" from "don't loose seconds".

Well if Almeida proves to be able to be with the best in the hard mountains days (no one really knows, not even himself) I guess the other GC contenders can always attack him in the 4th week.

Almeida got 6 bonus seconds so I don't really understand the point. They had every reason to ride.

Exactly, especially as Almeida comes really close to the victory, it was just a matter of centimeters. This shows the team has a lot of trust in him.

If every team who works hard to bring their sprinter/leader in the best possible conditions to a sprint finish, only to finish second on the stage, is seen as gifting the stage to the winner then there are a whole lot of gifts in cycling.

Those last climbs were just a smidge too hard for Sagan. I think coming into the sprint he was only about 20 seconds behind.

Nice to see the sun, too.
