2015 had a different start but the final part is clearly the same

should be a bit quicker. Kangert did the final 25k in ~31 minutes in 2015

Didn't they have a significant tailwind in the end then? Like Contador had like 20th time at first intermediate then finished 17s down in the end?

I don't remember exactly anymore, to be honest. But yeah, going by the split times, it was wind affected

you're right, somehow when I wrote the preview I was convinced the start of the 2015 version was also in Conegliano. So convinced that I didn't even bother to check. I guess age is catching up

In the last part, there is a 1 km ramp at about 7.2% followed by a milder 4% section. It shouldn't be a problem for the likes of Ganna but it's not for the pure specialists. At least 5 GC guys should be in top 12.

Agree. Don't think Almeida will do better than every other GC rider like many here believe. Good but I rate Kelderman higher. Actually I do see Majka much closer to guys like Konrad though.

Ganna is on a roll, I can't see him not winning that one.

This stage will un-lock the GC and gaps will dictate tactics moving forward. Fair to put Wilco at an advantage, but Nibali at last year's Giro ITT level gets the edge imo.
