FDJ should definitely take some more pulls. Demare is the fastest rider in the bunch. Having Gaviria back in the peloton makes it a bit more complicated.

Makes it a lot easier it they throw one guy up there to help Bora. If FDJ, Bora and Sunweb all threw one rider up there to help the push, they'd really make it hard

Why were FDJ or Sunweb not helping Bora? Its ridiculous when comes to Sagan how no one ever cooperates. Even when small group is away with Sagan in it, they always leave him to fry and never cooperate. Why are they still so afraid of him if he's not won a race in over a year.

Better to use up one rider to help. Demare is in great form but over their careers Gaviria has consistently been a significantly faster sprinter. Letting him back is an unnecessary risk, even if Demare’s super form makes him the most likely to win anyway.
