Really, it's all about Remco today. He could have had peak Cancellara as his helper today and he'd have been in the same position I think.
This. Regardless of any possible tantrum between Evenepoel/Almeida/management, it all comes down to Remco not having the legs.
As for Almeida, his attitude may be questionable (still waiting to hear what everyone has to say) but I still understand he may feel angry, Lefevere comments were at least disrespectful to a guy who finished 4th in the previous season. Threatening to keep his bike on the truck like he's a small kid....
