The Giro isn't going to get cancelled...Trek also getting battered. If the Giro get's cancelled does Gerain win by default?

Caruso apparently had COVID during the first week...So the winner will be the rider who will have had Covid before the Giro, or has covid during without any symptoms/implications and was never tested, or was willing to take the risk.
Seems be be a lottery
I'd reckon there were multiple riders starting the Giro with a Covid... and the weather certainly didn't help. There must have been one rider with Covid-19 who brought it into the peloton and once it spreads, it spreads.
These are way too much cases and it's in fact totally not in line with the current Covid-19 situation outside of the Giro d'Italia.
Rumors say it could've been Roglic?

So immune now for week 3. Caruso to win the Giro.Caruso apparently had COVID during the first week...
You don't know that.i.e. the 'rumor' you speak of is complete & utter B.S.

He is tough and a real soldier. Caruso not leaving this race.
Caruso > virus.Depending on virus load, which is a function of initial exposition and immune system response. In some cases (low viral load) there are almost no negative effects and one can feel ok
I completely forgot that one, thanks!219km is the longest stage - how things have changed. I won’t forget Fabio Roscioli’s long range solo attack to win stage 12 of the 1993 TdF: 286km!
You don't know that.
