Of course they gonna hold back on the flat section, because the Luschariberg is so hard.

Y'all act like it's a joke! Well, somehow it is if course.

Yesterday was the second time this millennium that a rider took a GT leader‘s jersey from over ten minutes down. The other guy was a better climber, though.

Bahrain to hit the front ahead of every descent left in the Giro and not attack. Roglic to force G back into the pink jersey all the way to Rome. Now that they’re shortening stages, it’s not about the legs anymore. It’s 100% mental.

Stage is tailor-made for Primoz Roglic.

I really expect GC action, and Primoz could really move into Pink. I really have hope.

One also cannot know what will be shortened or cancelled next week. So I think Primoz in Pink tomorrow evening…

So is Roglic a lock for the stage win? *
[*Please reply as soon as possible so I can place my bet via DK and then go back to sleep. Thanks.]

Any reason why the bookies think Bouwman might go for the stage today? I haven't read anything to suggest that...

Perfect stage for him to win in a break, very difficult to drop in that climbs and mighty fast (for his weight) in a sprint.
Still I don't think that Jumbo is interested in this, maybe people believe in this scenario because Hessmann and kuss were in the break the other day.

I don't doubt that he could win, I just haven't heard or read any interviews where it was mentioned that he would be free to race

I'm afraid nothing will happen in the GC today, will be another breakaway day. But the GC is close so that must mean the race is good!

Why are we acting like most GC riders haven't raced this completely rationally?
I fell like most people agree with this. I think most complaints are really about the lack of action not accusing specific riders for their tactics.

Well, with Vlasov out and the rest of the team not climbing super well (Jungels not really in form), Konrad is the only one that can keep pace with Kämna who is still going for GC. Yesterday Konrad was the only one there in the group when Kämna had to stop for the rain jacket and he brought him back. For this exact reason I think Konrad will be required to be with Kämna.
That's certainly true. On the other end it depends on what you expect. If a big break goes and the GC teams sit up until the last major climb I don't think it's much of an issue. Denz and Jungels will be there to position him and if a Roglic or Thomas goes it's all men to themselve and as you mentioned the level isn't high enough to really help. Maybe better to have someone in front.

I think the same is true for Jayco (zana) and EF (cepeda) - healy could be also there but he will go for the win everything else would a surprise. He could even win this from the GC group. The break creation will tell the story for the day. The mountains are hard enough for 1-2 gc guys going out the back but is a team willing to push that much. Also if a really dangerous GC rider is in there (Pinot, Arensman) the race could speed up. But what we saw up until now is more like break plus a GC sprint on the last little hill.

Well, I think Jumbo will send riders in the break. And they will be free to go for a stage win.
