Thought I saw Kaden Groves in the group, doesn't seem to be feeling the pedals on these climbs, going to clean up if he's doing the Vuelta against the Spanish Club scene again.
He's been unlucky in that all the hilly sprint stages haven't been hard enough to drop Milan (who is no Kittel) and all the hilly stages have been too hard for Groves. Maybe third week he's fresher than others? He needs to pull himself together if he doesn't want to destroy his stat of winning at least a stage in all his Grand Tours.
Man who has made a living winning sprint stages against ganna and dres van gestel is gonna struggle in a giro against actually good sprintersHe needs to pull himself together if he doesn't want to destroy his stat of winning at least a stage in all his Grand Tours.

Yeah, the gap not going out isn't really due to the UAE tempo, but rather the break really soft-pedalling. A large group is coming back to the peloton, so it's not like UAE is drilling it.Steinhauser with a bike change but seems very relaxed about it. Probably quite aware that the breakaway isn't driving it hard at all.
Conci was actually climbing rather well yesterday. Then again, Manghen was his to go training climb before turning pro, so he can probably climb a bit.Conci noticing the Hun a bit late.
but he'll for sure be very sorry again for all is new best friends in the breakawayPog will reluctantly take another stage win, today.![]()
The way the breakaway is riding, they're basically hoping for some charity from the peloton. There's no Voigt, De Gendt or Chavanel in there, that's for sure. Rui Oliveira, Ben Swift and Seb Molano are currently riding faster than Quintana et al.Pogi is mean.
He probably reflected a bit on how much of his youth he spent being angry with Quintana's passivity.

What's up with Pogacar and Steinhauser? Pog positively mentioned him quite a few time after the stage on Sunday, seemed to have his attack in high regards. No he's marking him as if he is a GC threat, any context?

Why are UAE even working, if not for another stage win? Here's an idea, put Majka or Novak etc. in the break, and make other teams chase. It's like they don't know any other tactics than working at the front.
Instead of being passive like Quintana or aggressive like Van der Poel, Pogačar rides passive-aggressively, where he lets his team chase every break.Pogi is mean.
