If it's seriously still a possibility, then they should have officially announced it in March that they would do that side if it's ready for the race. There has been no official talk about it at all from RCS.

Tomalaris is an idiot and most likely missing the spotlight since SBS sacked him a few years ago, he’s says it’s more than a rumour and it’s happening blah blah but I’m betting it’s nothing more than a low level thought bubble. Even if it’s semi serious it won’t happen, it’s like when they were talking about a US start in Washington DC that never happened.

Is it likely to happen? No ? There is no point slagging off Tomalaris who has reported factual news. And Vegni failed to dispel the rumour.

The only way that this would be achievable would be if the around the corner supersonic passenger plane is in service and the racing necessities could be staged ahead of time. Even then looking at a world map not sure of the route and how long it would take even with supersonic travel.

Can say that Plapp will be unpopular with the politiians and the like with his intemperate remarks about the proposal. Then again if you ask Durbridge he will probably say its a fantastic idea.
