I guess returning the stage start fee is smarter cause how are you gonna start in Livigno without also finishing there?

I also assume stage starts are cheaper than finishes outside of the Grande Partenza
Apparently they're way cheaper (like 5x less). Admittedly I only got that information from the Austrian articles that are debating starts/finishes in Lienz/Salzburg.

I could see Livigno getting a free start in 2026 again, I think the Giro has some loose leeway of pushing that agreement back (didn't that happen before?) and also from a Livigno perspective it would probably make more sense marketing wise not to have it twice in a row.
