I dont understand cycling organisers

People can maybe watch at weekends and this is when you need to put on your best stages

why a procession on a Saturday

Its not like cycling has enough viewers

Like I said this Giro d'Italia could have been reduced to 10-12 stages. Everything else is redundant.

I know it's harsh, but sadly it's true.

Danish Eurosport showing first the Decathlon tactics meeting in the bus this morning, where the plan is for Vendrame to cover attacks in the finale and Godon going for the sprint... Bennett does not appear to be at the meeting.

Then a pre-stage (French) interview with Godon, where he confirms he is going for the sprint, the interviewer then asks "is that in support of Bennett?", to which Godon replies "I am going for the sprint" (according to the Danish translation on the fly).

Something is rotten in the state of Decathlon

you missed Dries de Bondt outsprinting Mads Pedersen for a single point. Twice.

I guess it won't increase his chances to see another breakaway soon.

What the heck is Mads even doing today?
Is he Mad?

He has quite a lead when it comes to the points jersey:
why sprint twice (one of which he even lost) for a single point each?
I don't get it.
12, 8 , points... ok, but 1?!
Save you energy for the finish, plus the following days.

The second intermediate sprint was on a wet surface, too.

they probably simply don't expact Bennett to make it over the climb(s)?!

Maybe, but I found it odd he was not at the team meeting, and then the weird way Godon replied when asked if he was riding for Bennett.

- and Bennett does have a history of falling out with his teams.

Basically they are actively sabotaging their own product with decisions like that. Given that doing the worst possible with terrain available is a running theme with this years route design, it almost looks like Vegni or whoever is at charge of this race in RCS curently is doing this on purpose, whatever that purpose would be.

Nice to see them giving Roglic and Tratnik a charity ride at the front like when the tour goes through an unknown riders home and the benevolent bunch usher him forward.

Ineos again wasting a lot of energy for unknown reasons. Maybe they want to be in front for the small descent.
