Like I said this Giro d'Italia could have been reduced to 10-12 stages. Everything else is redundant.

Then a pre-stage (French) interview with Godon, where he confirms he is going for the sprint, the interviewer then asks "is that in support of Bennett?", to which Godon replies "I am going for the sprint" (according to the Danish translation on the fly).

Giro d'Italia 2025 Stage 13 from Rovigo to Vicenza was won by Mads Pedersen before Wout van Aert and Isaac del Toro. Isaac del Toro was leading the general classification.

Basically they are actively sabotaging their own product with decisions like that. Given that doing the worst possible with terrain available is a running theme with this years route design, it almost looks like Vegni or whoever is at charge of this race in RCS curently is doing this on purpose, whatever that purpose would be.
