Maybe Del Toro learned a lesson about not wearing the pink shorts.. Black shorts are just no good at Giro!!! Del Toro in his comfort zone congratulated Verona in Spanish, can't be easy trying to say something nice to Wout in Faaaaamz!

Well, that was more entertaining than I expected!

Couple of thoughts:

1. Carapaz looks really, really good. I think he could potentially win this but it depends on...
2. ...how good will del Toro be when they hit the serious mountains? I'm really excited for Tuesday!
3. It's a real shame that Bernal had such a bad second TT, because he is climbing really well and looks in great form.

It's over for Roglic.
I don't think this was just a off day. It's either due to injuries or he's just in bad shape. Judging by the form of the entire Bora's team, the latter is quite likely.

I cant recall how many breakaways I have seen Verona in and he was always so close but no cigar
So happy for him....This makes his career and makes all the work worth it

Plus a great win...from so far out

I dont classify this a break away victory. Verona was in the peleton that caught the original break and then made it into a secondary break.

Roglic is the king of the one week race. He hasn't even started yet. He set this all up so that the 3rd week is simply a one week stage race. Get ready for it! He even gave the others a bit of a head start!

Bummer, your TV gave up on you? Sounded like it was running on hamster power (or Roglic power)...

I dozed off for a few hours and once I woke up I saw Rogla doing very poorly... must be age and he's probably sore from his crashes. :(
I was on family visit from Grappa and onwards. I'm sad for Rogla

I knew it was in jest, just figured best place to mention Trek tickling the sponsors at every chance!!
Double face palm!!! I deserve one!!
I am looking forward to your positive "rants" in favor of del Toro later today.

There's very little to suggest from the likes of Yates, Carapaz and Gee that they'll put up a big fight to UAE at this point.
