Today's stage was so frustrating, as the riders actually wanted to race, but the God awful stage design prevented this.
Apparently he said like 2 lines to Slovenian journalists saying he was happy to finish the stage. Bora team director came out and said basically that they had tried to downplay the impact of the crashes and that the team doctor will decide if he starts on Tuesday.Has Roglic commented after the stage?
S.t. as the new god child Del Toro who couldn't even put seconds into Bernal anymore who had already blown upSome people are downplaying how weak he was in a stage tailormade for him (when Ayuso won).
You are too emotional right now. You know Del Toro wasn't allowed to go deeper and that's why he waited for the sprint since his captain was winning the stage. Keep fooling yourself.S.t. as the new god child Del Toro who couldn't even put seconds into Bernal anymore who had already blown up
Exactly, and he hadn't even had the accident yet. Some people are downplaying how weak he was in a stage tailormade for him (when Ayuso won).
I think it's just a case of very obviously peaking for the third week in this back loaded giro, and three crashes then ruining the form.if something has happened from Catalunya to the Giro. But the day Ayuso won, Roglic should have won or finished second like in Catalunya, and he didn't even try.
But in Catalunya, Roglic was better than Ayuso, and in the stage Ayuso won, Roglic didn't even try.I think it's just a case of very obviously peaking for the third week in this back loaded giro, and three crashes then ruining the form.
With roglic it must be a case of old issues resurfacing with these crashes. The crash he had yesterday was not bad. Last time I crashed like that (similar speed, slight descent, bike slid out underneath me in the wet), I was riding to the gym and after the crash i did a barbell back squat PR. Such a crash shouldn't cause issues. But these guys have such low density bones and roglic has years of persistent crashing, that's what take the toll.
Easy climbs with sub 7 gradients nearly all the way and the short, punchy hill tops with 20kms to go. Stage 16 and stage 20 will imo answer the big questions about him.
Verona from the breakaway?
Who’s the third alien? There’s only 2wow, the top 10 is still within 4 mins of each other.
When the 3 aliens do not race, everything is very close. Little difference between the riders
Hmmm. Been shutting them down like a boss so far...he won't look too amazing if he has to keep shutting down attacks from Bernal, Gee, Tiberi, Carapaz, Yates.
