Not too many potential stage winners in this 24 man break. Unless Gaudu has a miraculous reverse of form it looks like Bilbao vs Astana on paper.
Bilbao, Cepeda are both good candidates. Wout is going to wash out soon. Fortunato has just been stacking so far, goes off gets KOM and then sort of floundering to the finish, I hope today he climbs good ...all day..Astana really needs something.. Is there Polti in front group? Almost at 8 minutes!!!

Peleton still going backwards.
Let's see what the next mountain brings. Maybe someone will try to see how Ayuso actually is doing. Ineos would be a candidate, would make more sense to do it later, but that hasn't stopped them so far.

With Tarling out and Arensman having crashed, too, I'm not sure we will see them try anything. So yeah, they will probably go boombastic soon.

I would be surprised to see GC action before Santa Barbara.

Ineos are really lacking manpower to apply pressure for 70 km.

Fortunato big favourite for the stage win. Peloton will soon be out of it.
apparently Gaudu has meanwhile recovered from his hand injury as well. Hard to say what his shape is like, but he tends to strike back every now and then.

Yeah, he is hard to judge here, so won't rule him out. Bilbao likewise.

I don't think Tarling will make such a difference on what is left on the stage, Arensman also wouldn't be the guy to pull so early. So yes, not enough to pull all the time, but maybe still enough to create some motion that could create some action in a cascade of events.
Just trying to manifest something here.
