I read that this decision was made to avoid help between teammates who could come out one after the other.

For example, McNulty came out behind Ayuso, but with three minutes, they wouldn't have been able to meet.
It was only top 10 or so wasn't it so even though it was all the same time, McNulty, Ayuso and Yates actually could have helped each other as they had 1 minutes gaps.

Chances are it was actually just to extend TV coverage but I don't think it makes sense from a competition point of view (the next TT it will)

What's your nationality got to do with anything?

I don't really take issue with arrogant athletes - to me it's just a winners mentality - it's only annoying if they then suck, and I honestly don't think Ayuso does, he's got a pretty impressive palmares for a 22 year old.
New to Spanish-Portuguese rivalry? A tale as old as time. Repeated all over the world. The funniest thing is how one sided it is, the Spanish only care about the French, who at the same time only care.. etc etc

Because routes have become hillier. The Tirreno ITT this year was 56+.
Ganna was 2 km/h faster than everyone else there and we were only at 52.6 km/h the year before on the same route. Now conditions were pretty bad in the 2024 Tirreno TT but it's also clear that the wind slowed things down a little today, the gap in speed with the Tirreno TT is significantly smaller if wind conditions are equal and Ganna is there in both races.

The bottom line being, this is not the fastest TT route but also very much not a slow one.

Roglic collecting pink on stage 2 by mistake so now his team has to work.
