What about Stelvio?

Stelvio north would be a contender, but don't think it's quite as hard as Agnello (counting the entire Agnello from the base of the Sampyere, where it was counted in 2003).

What makes Agnello so hard is you have something like 9k at 10% at a very high altitude. Stelvio does not have quite that level of difficulty

I don't understand the attitude of the peloton.
They don't act as if the leader is only with 40 seconds and had failed on the mountain stage they finished alone.

And some teams with good climbers who aren't in the breakaway don't want to win the stage either.

Break is gone, EF just need to nuke from the bottom and go early.

With 10 minutes, Van Aert can wait on the top if Yates can manage to do anything, looks tired though.

I really don't understand the people moaning over this years route, I think it has been excellent.

It has allowed for a much more varied GT, where a lot more rider types have been allowed to shine at various stages of the race, while maintaining the GC battle throughout - and we still get the "right" GC winner at the end of some incredibly hard mountain stages.

I could have done without the gravel stage though.

There are two great constants in Grand Tour conversations. All DSs are idiots and every route design is terrible.

Today is like the 2nd mountain stage where significant attacks may happen.

Drilling the the flat has more impact on your own teammates than Del Toro's ability to climb

You seemed to struggle to understand why people had been complaining about the route of this Giro. I gave you a reason why I have been vocal about not liking this route.

If only the GC battle on the biggest mountains is interesting to you, it would appear you should examine how you spend your time all the other days in GTs :p
