It's very obvious the first few times that Carapaz just hoped Yates would set an attacking pace he could follow that IDT couldn't follow and that he wasn't racing Yates directly at this point in the climb.
Unfortunately for him when he did let Yates go Gee showed up to do the work lol
Guys, if you critizised Carapaz, what about Gee now? Thats even more stupid. All that said, drafting is quite limited at those gradients anyway. So rather a psychological effect if at all.
I don’t have a dog in the fight. I’m fine with any of them winning. Yates has a shot, so does Richie, but IDT is a kid and still learning his limits. It is smart to mark Carapaz right now because there is no point blowing himself up trying to chase both.
