Wow, crazy pinch point there. But problem is partly the teams insisting on riding 10 across through the city streets. Seems like a setup for a stray camera strap or plastic bag (to use some historical examples) to take down a rider inches from the curb.

It is clear, yet again that stages such as this should not be in any grand tour. What is the point? By all means, finish in Lecce but please have some hills before. There is no reason why a guy with a double chin (Groves, Bennet) should be anywhere near the front of a road cycling race with 20km to go. Just go to the velodrome...
Where do you live where the concept of „No hills around“ doesn‘t exist?

Eurosport Denmark just showed from 500m to 300m, which is 3 left curves only 3,5 metres across.

This is going to be a complete *** show :(
If the entire last 10 km was like that it would make for some interesting racing

It's more than 3,5 metres - more like 5 (Mielke said it was 3.5) - but it's still way too narrow for a GT bunch sprint.

Yeah, but the "go to the velodrome" line you keep repeating doesn't work.
Not all sprinters are track riders.
Well, they should not be employed as a rider by a road racing team. Or, at least, they would be sent to tour of Poland and similar races exclusively.

You don't think road riders should be employed by a road racing team?
And GTs should have stages for every type of rider.
