What are those riders on teams that don't have others chances at stage wins not going all out at that point? They all slowed down at the front with 1 km to go. If you don't have one of the top sprinters or a top GC climber, when do those other teams think they can win other than opportunities like this? They served that up to Pedersen on a platter.
Most guys up there were just the GC guys

If Kanter got punished yesterday Zambanini is going to get relegated. He almost crashes out Poole (no I don't think it's bad but if they are conistent...)

Pedersen's sprint looked a bit dodgy from the head-on camera shot, but on the overhead, he seems to hardly deviate from his line?
First a bit left, later a bit right into Pidcock's line, but nothing that gets you relegated...
And yeah, if a team had kept the tempo up after that punchy climb Pedersen wouldn't have made it back to the front.

Groves finishing in the bunch but at the back of it. He really should have been competing today

We'll see how much nationality and/or star factor of hindered/'hindered' rider counts for.

Yes, I know Marcellusi got relegated on stage 3, but he was making a nuisance of himself throughout that finale so not the same as Kanter.

Well that Vacek domestique work was certainly not the least strange thing, I've ever seen.

everyone at the front slowed, waiting for . . . ?
Actually Vacek was still at front controlling the pace. Probably the other teams did not knew Pedersen is so much at the back with Vacek going full gas. Coming back to Vacek wheel and Vacek still being capable to do a lead-out after 2km in front of a finish stage was impressive.
