3" is only for stages designated as expected to finish in a bunch sprint. That is stage 4, 6, 12, 18 and 21.

To be honest, I also think this stage wasn't great.
We didn't have GC action and we knew Plapp would win with 40 km to the finish. This stage had potential for a lot more to be honest.

Back in the day, the American promoter gave some of your prize winnings in fake funny money that you could redeem at his " prize booth" bunch of old jerseys, shorts and hats, junk abandoned at bike shops. I hope Plapp can cash it in!!!! Don't want to get stuck with a dirty, thick Decca jersey!!!

yeah like, it was fine. i enjoy the boring stages too. but the potential was way higher than what we got imo. people lose their minds over the "fight for the breakaway" which i just find very unremarkable unless someone dangerous on GC is trying things.

Yeah, I guess Kelderman winning a sprint for 2nd is quite deceiving like that. The universe would never allow him to win outright.

I mean, realistically Kelderman won the sprint mostly because they were out of the fight for the stage win and Ulissi went all in for Rosa, in the fight for the stage he might have played it more defensively
