I think probably we will see Remco at the Giro. About the swiss stage i don't think they will climb Nufenpass or Gottardo because i have heard that it would be a total Ticino stage. For me they will climb Cari two times or other ticino climbs. This climb Motta di Gribbio is very interesting and it would be a good option.
Start in Bellinzona, 30 km flat until start of Motta di Gribbio (from south) then two loops with Motta di Gribbio and Cari. Only 110-115 km, but 3900 meters of climbing and basically not a flat meter in the last 80 kilometers. Would've been really cool, but a 115 km mountain stage with two loops doesnt sound much like a Giro stage to me. Maybe if it was ASO.

In an unrealistic dreamworld:
Do these two loops of Gribbio+Cari and then after second Cari descend once again and then finish on Gotthardpass (155km, 5300m climbing) or take Gotthardpass and Furkapass before descending into finish to Goms/Ulrichen (200km, 6300m of climbing).

According to the last rumours we can have two itts, one in the first week and the other in the second week. Some sources speak about a flat stage with finish in Milan and a total swiss stage from Bellinzona to Cari. It's almost sure that the stage with finish in Madonna di Campiglio will start from Cassano d'Adda.

How long is the rumored week 1 TT?

What’s a more competitive race- Pog vs Jonas in the 2026 Tour route or potentially Jonas vs Remco in the Giro, with potentially a very Remco friendly route? The Tour is designed to be close into the third week so I’ll go with that. But if it’s a soft Giro with say over 50k of itt, then who knows.

depends how long the first ITT is

If its around 50 km, we will finally have the TT vs climber battle we have wanted for some time (that Gouvenou is too dumb to give us)
