It's not just Italians. Everyone gets treated a little bit better at home.

Maybe not by the jury, but the RAI has influenced results more than once.

They screwed Fignon out of a win.

Nibali has 5 minutes on Porte...

Nibali needs this time with his chrono. He bleeds time compared to Basso, Evans and Vino.
You are obviously basing that assumption on last year's Tour.
Nibali is a very, very good trialist.

If Porte is at 5 minutes as race radio says, and the Arroyo group is at 3'22", then Porte would still be in the maglia rosa tonight.

Should not Evans and Scarponi could co-work like a two-man time trial to catch Nibali? Gaps too big for that now?

Sastre's lead over basso, nibali, evans and vino will almost be neutralized after today.

It's gonna be tight between these guys.

WHat a race :D :D

he might have the maglina rosa? Having the only contender who has teammates left have it is a bad move

What Nibali are you talking about? Surely not Vincenzo

Check last years Tour ITT at Annecy. Andy Schleck was faster. Contrast with Evans. He needs the time to be safe assuming Evans matches him tomorrow on the Zoncolan. Nibali in theory will lose well over a minute on Cadel in a chrono. Unless the rumours are true and Michele has brewed him a special concoction and Vincenzo has grown miles in a year.

Really impressive descending from Nibali. Almost with Savoldelli compare.
And really nice ride from Mollema, Kiserlovski and Porte too. Porte maybe should keep his maglia rosa jersey.

Of course. But Nibali needs more time to be safe. Evans is too much of a threat. 40 seconds plus the winning bonus won't cut it.

Ah, I see I was right. You obviously aren't that familiar with his career.
