this is working out great for anton. AC has to work himself to bring nibs back, allowing anton a free ride to his teammate waiting up the road

I'm actually worried that Anton might be the spoiler. He helps chase, and he gets the stage win. He certainly isn't a threat for overall if Contador stays with him, and I think back-to-back MTFs are too much for him to resist.

Plus, if they catch a tired Nibali, he might take second place.

he has a pretty good classification tho.
He could get in the top 10 today.

Yes, but anton could get the podium..I don't know if Eus cares about Nieve in the GC. But if they think he could still get the stage win, he should keep going.

We've just seen the spot where Emanuele Sella disappeared never to be seen again in 2008.

Ah, Fedaia.

Speak of the devil... I hope he's just been pacing himself, with eyes on the stage win. 2mins to Garzelli is nothing.

Something tells me Zomegnan is going to put in a few finishes on technical descents next year, without AC there that would make Nibali the undisputed favourite.

Interesting stage so far!

I certainly didn't expect Contador to close the gap to JRod and Arroyo since that would explode the peloton, but he did. Because of this we got an obliterated peloton so no more help from domestiques. Everyone on it's own.

Nibali attacking on the descent, allthough it seems it doesn't take that much effort.

Awesome!

I expect AC to close the gap on the climb rather fast again though. He has to work for it now though :)

Nibali attacked too early. He blew energy and won't get antything in return. He should have attacked on the Fedeia not the Giau

Not enough.
At all...

Nibali isn't trying to win the stage on this descent he just won 35" which means he will be up with Contador at a later stage with less energy wasted, he's done exactly what he wanted to.

Wow. Contador pulling. Nibali has single-handedly done it.

But I'm telling you: Anton's going to chase.
