maybe he will be the random rider of HTC for GC in vuelta:D

Yeah maybe! But think about that the guy is actually supposed to be great in TTs in contrast to Velits who destroyed the field in last years long ITT at the Vuelta. So he should not just come in 3rd but 1st!
Also he finished ahead of Machado today, who as some people wanted to make us believe is a Top 5 GT conterder. Therefore he'll probably be'll the next Indurain two years from now.
This Results of course in the following:

GERMAN CYLING IS SAVED!
(we'll just have to change his first name to Jan or his last name to Ullrich, i'm not sure about which one yet.)

What an absolutely epic stage. 60 kilometers of all the favorites without a domestique left. This Giro started a bit disappointing, but yesterday and especially today certainly made up for that.

AC admits it was the hardest stage of his life

No wonder, they stoped doing these stages some years ago...
he locked quite done at the finish as well. Even though this isn't really a good indicator.

Betancourt only just in now, got absolutely hammered.

The quintet is still our largest group

Yea, along with Kiryienka, Konovalovas, Ulissi, Jufre and plenty of others who were dropped long before him. Great day's work for Carlos though, he can hold his head up high alright.
