Basso is strong, but in 2006 there would be about 5 hours between him and Scarponi now.
You just can't handle the fact Evans is being destroyed.

Whats to say he doesn't have that in reserve and that he is just riding to keep Nibali in contact?

That jackass in the blue shirt ran uphill a LONG way.
.

Maybe he was reading this forum and saw the post complaining about lack of underpants clad Italians...

I really hope the fat nutter in nappies doesn't come out today.

It's not evans that is bonking that is my problem as such with the doping but that basso is flying like 2006.Moondance, i understood!;)

Believe me, Basso is not on the same program as in 2006. If he was Vino, Evans and co wouldn't have a chance at all. Even Basso's climbing rate to Zoncolan was much, much slower than Simoni's back in 2007.

Not saying Basso is clean, he is just on par with Evans and Vinokourov in terms of "program".

Basso is just piling on the coals. He looks like he is pushing hard (and smiling while he does it)

Basso alway looks like he is smiling when he is in the red.
I used to race against a guy like that...when he started smiling...time to attack.

Vino is looking good...wait till the desent!

Did Evans not eat enough? I mean this is serious explosion here...

Maybe the chef from Team BMC decided to jump on the DNF bandwagon and Cuddles had to eat pot noodles for beakfast?

Who the heck are you talking about? Grow up...nobody is saying anything bad about Cadel Evans...just the facts...

Your kidding right? The anti-cadel syndrome on this board is worse then the anti-collingwood/carlton bias on bigfooty

Just my take...

- Look at evans' form at the tdu. On wilunga and stirling he was going very well.
- tirrenno was very strong.
- classics - very good
-giro - first two weeks - very strong
giro final week- cracks were appearing

tdu is not great for prep for giro. yes it was grat to see him in front of a home crowd in aus but having him there compromises his form for the giro as he can't hold such strong form that he has quite often throughout a whole 4 months. i hope if he loses 10 minutes that he takes it easy for the rest of the giro. no use going crazy for a podium. lose the war and move on to his next goal the tour. the route will suit him more.
