It looks like Evans might have bonked, he is going backwards fast.

He nearly just killed himself, too.

He can't possibly rebuild form in time for the Tour. He has to go crazy for a podium because he's not going to get a podium at the Tour.

what does he do then? just give up? maybe that's what everyone contending for gc should do other than contador at the tdf. lets have the ceremony in paris now and present him with the trophy!

Massive sugar low or just a terrible terrible day.

He's simply cooked. Has nothing left. Sad but true.

Arroyo didn't go into the red up the Mortirolo. Rode his own race, used others when he could, and now he's picking everyone up.

Evans tried to hang on when he really couldn't and short-circuited.

If Evans doesn't manage to eat something on this descent he is going to lose hugely more time on the last climb.

Evans absolutely destroyed.

He just went over the top of Mortirolo, 1'42 back. Evans has lost the Giro for sure, assuming it was ever his to lose.

Speaking of over the top, Basso's performance is pretty unrealistic to me. To see him and Nibali dropping everyone like that is pretty ridiculous.

You're really quite incapable of being rational when Evans is concerned.

He should lose time on flat stages so he can get into breaks and go for stage wins and the KOM

Evans doesn't have a team. There is no way he goes close to winning the Tour.

He'll be lucky if he comes top 5. Hell, even top 10 and he'll be doing well.

At this point Arroyo is much more dangerous for Basso than Cuddles.

No worries. Even if Arroyo hangs on (I doubt it), tomorrow is so much harder than today.

Would be a shame if even old Texan would drop him on the Tour climbs.
